Sr. Tax Accountant - CPA

*Job Description:* *Role: Senior Tax Accountant* *Location: Santa Monica, CA* *Job Type: Full-Time* *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * · Work with third party CPA’s to insure the timely completion and review of all corporate, partnership and individual returns · Process all payments of annual LLC Fees and business license taxes · Monitor changes in tax law to assist ownership with tax strategies · Prepare all information required for federal or state audits · Review workflow process for opportunities for improvement and be an agent of change regarding process improvement or implementation of additional software · Oversee preparation of annual 1099s · Identify opportunities for property tax assessments and handle the appeal process · Review fixed asset additions for appropriate tax treatment · Advise ownership of tax implications of real estate transactions as needed · Other duties as assigned *REQUIREMENTS * · Bachelor’s degree in accounting · Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Certification · Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially with excel · 3 – 5 years of progressive tax experience including the preparation of corporate, partnership and individual returns · Understanding of partnerships including partnership agreements, allocations and accounting · Excellent written and communication skills · Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills · Experience in real estate is strongly preferred Job Type: Full-time Salary: $78,238.
