*Behavior Technician / Psychology Internship: Helping Children with Autism*
Developmental Specialty Partners is looking for Students who are interested in completing their Internship hours for their Undergraduate program.
This internship position offers valuable hands-on experience in child development, therapy planning, and program implementation.
*Location:* 4051 Broad Street, Suite 110, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
*Responsibilities:*
* Implement ABA programs that focus on decreasing maladaptive behaviors and increasing social, communication, and adaptive skills under the direction of a Supervisor
* Engage in play-based activities and therapeutic interventions to support the social and emotional development of children with autism
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a positive and nurturing environment
* Collecting data daily and maintaining client databook(s)
* Completing all Behavior Technician Intern Checklist Items within the time provided, including training, assessments, and competencies
*Requirements:*
* Passion for child development, education, and creating a nurturing learning environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Pursuing or completing a degree in ABA, psychology, education, or a related field
* Background check clearance and up-to-date immunizations may be required
* Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
