Class A Ag Truck Driver

Rancho Laguna Farms is a family-owned commercial vegetable and berry crop grower and is looking for a Class A Ag Truck Driver to haul various types of farming equipment to various ranch locations.
*JOB PURPOSE:* Responsible for safely hauling various types of tractors, equipment, and implements, to different ranch locations.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Loads, secures, drives, and unloads heavy equipment tractor-trailer rig to deliver and pick up ag equipment to various ranch locations · Performs basic safety and operational vehicle inspections before and after each trip · Secure cargo for transport using proper Tigh-down equipment · Knowledge of heavy machinery loading and unloading needed · Drive and operate a Class A combination vehicle · Ability to back trailers in and out of designated areas without damaging surrounding vehicles or equipment.
· Must be able to operate a smartphone and use an internal application to coordinate the movement of equipment · Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order · Assure that trucks are maintained and in good working condition.
Must fill out Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report (per DOT Regulations) daily.
· Assume other responsibilities as assigned.
*SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS:* • Valid Class A Driver’s license and insurable DMV record • Provide current DMV printout upon applying • Not have any DUI's (Driving Under the Influence) • Have a clean DMV driving history for the past 5 years • Maintain DOT driving qualification; this includes but is not limited to license status and medical status.
• Climb into and exiting trucks multiple times throughout the day • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner • Complete a Road Test that is required prior to employment • Dependable attendance, no unauthorized absences.
• Attend all required safety meetings • Follow all applicable traffic laws • Comply with all Rancho Laguna policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
